Dr. Eileen Hulme

Ph.D. in Adult Education and Human Resource Development,
President and founder of The Commons Educational Design Group

Dr. Hulme founded The Commons Educational Design Group with two questions in mind: how do we help students not just develop but flourish? What do we need to teach students to enable them to lead extraordinary lives? From these questions, Dr. Hulme discovered Positive Psychology and began work on and investigation into Positive Student Development.

Dr. Hulme, one of the country’s leading experts on strengths-oriented higher education, has been involved in the strengths movement from its inception. As Vice President for Student Life at Baylor University, she created the first strengths-oriented all-campus initiative at a major university.
